Resonant light enhances phase coherence in a cavity QED simulator of fermionic superfluidity

Cavity QED experiments are natural hosts for non-equilibrium phases of matter supported by photon-mediated interactions. In this work, we consider a cavity simulation the BCS model superfluidity, studying regimes where photons act as dynamical degrees freedom instead mere mediators interaction via virtual processes. We find an enhancement long time coherence following quench whenever frequency is tuned into resonance with atoms. discuss how equivalent to superfluidity and highlight similarities analogous phenomena recently studied in solid state quantum optics. also conditions observing enhanced resonant pairing including effect photon losses inhomogeneous coupling our analysis.
